Player Transfer, Contract & Termination Rules

Hey COBEG family!

Big updates in the transfer window system to make transfers fairer and smoother for players and clubs. Get ready, here’s what’s on the way:

⏱ Contract & Eligibility

• Contract length: Every player contract lasts 120 days.
• Reserve days: After registration, players wait 2 days before joining matches. (See: Reserve Day). A termination request skips reserve days, once the admin approves, the player can play right away.
• Expired contracts: If a contract expired 30 days or more ago, the player cannot participate until it’s renewed by the player or club. [Applied matchday starts from October 1, 2025].
• Club unregistration: If a club is unregistered, all its players become free agents. (Closing an Academy does not do the same.)

💰 Termination Fee — How it’s calculated

• Base fee: BDT 100
• Contract duration adjustment:
  • 31–60 days remaining: +BDT 50
  • 61–90 days remaining: +BDT 100
  • 91–120 days remaining: +BDT 150
• Match experience adjustment: For every 50 matches played, add BDT 50.
• Academy discount: Academy players pay 20% less on all fees.
• Former club compensation: The former club receives 50% of the fee above BDT 250. That can be used as termination fee for the club.

This setup balances fairness for newer players while recognizing experience and protecting clubs that develop talent.

🔁 Other important notes

• Main to Academy transfers are free after 60 days.
• Unregistering & re-registering a player on the same team does not extend their contract.
• Re-registering with the same team does not require a termination fee.
